Store codes and branch districts do not belong in the name. A group with 10 or more locations can use bulk verification in Business Profile Manager, provided the account lists every location it manages. For name and address rules specific to Saudi Arabia, see our guide to Google Business Profile in Saudi Arabia.

How should you build location pages for each branch?

Build one page per branch in each language, linked to each other with hreflang, and point that branch’s Business Profile website field at it. Fill each page with facts unique to the branch: address, hours, doctors or menu, services, parking and a map. A page that differs from its siblings only by city name adds nothing.

A clean pattern is /en/branches/riyadh-al-olaya/ and /ar/branches/riyadh-al-olaya/, with the same Latin slug on both versions so staff can share links without encoding errors. Google’s localized versions documentation requires each language version to list itself and every alternate, otherwise the annotations are ignored.

The address block needs care in two markets. In Saudi Arabia, print the full National Address: building number, street, additional number, district, city and postal code. In the UAE, Google’s own address format data requires the emirate and has no postal code field, so leave the postcode out instead of inventing one.

Healthcare pages need more detail. List the doctors who practise at that branch, with their specialties and days, and link each name to a full profile. For labs, list the tests offered and any home-collection areas. Our healthcare SEO strategy guide covers the content side in detail.

Schema for each branch page

Use the most specific schema.org type that fits: MedicalClinic for clinics, DiagnosticLab for laboratories, Restaurant for restaurants. Add the address, geo coordinates, telephone, URL and openingHoursSpecification. Google’s LocalBusiness documentation supports seasonal hours through validFrom and validThrough, and that is where Ramadan hours go on the page.

Property

Example value

Gulf note

@type

MedicalClinic, DiagnosticLab or Restaurant

Pick one specific type per page

name

The brand name, identical to the profile

One language per page version

address

PostalAddress with streetAddress, addressLocality, postalCode, addressCountry

UAE: use addressRegion for the emirate, omit postalCode

geo

GeoCoordinates, latitude and longitude

Take them from the entrance pin, not the building centre

openingHoursSpecification

Regular hours, plus a Ramadan set with validFrom and validThrough

Late hours: one entry, for example opens 20:00, closes 03:00

aggregateRating

Leave out

Google limits LocalBusiness review markup to sites reviewing other businesses

The last row matters for groups that show Google ratings on their branch pages. Self-serving ratings on your own branch pages are not eligible for review rich results. Show the rating as text if you like, but keep it out of the markup.

How do you handle Ramadan, Eid and Friday hours on Google?

Set Ramadan as seasonal regular hours for the whole month, then add special hours for each Eid day, and revert after the holiday. Google’s guidelines allow current seasonal hours as regular hours. Special hours are built for short changes: Google describes closures of up to 6 days in a row, and Eid fits that shape.

Google’s holiday list for Saudi Arabia, read on 2 October 2026, includes Founding Day, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and National Day, and shows customers a warning that hours can differ on those dates. Ramadan is not on the list. Nothing prompts customers to doubt your Ramadan hours, so wrong hours stay wrong for a month.

Period

Expected 2027 dates

Business Profile tool

Website schema

Ramadan 1448

From Monday 8 February 2027 (expected)

Change regular hours on day one

Ramadan hours with validFrom and validThrough

Eid al-Fitr

From Tuesday 9 March 2027 (expected)

Special hours per day

Closed or reduced hours for those dates

After Eid

Your reopening date

Restore regular hours

Remove expired entries

The dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar as published by IslamicDates; official announcements depend on moon sighting and can move each date by a day. For 20 or more branches, Google’s special hours spreadsheet accepts entries like 2027-03-09: 16:00-23:00, with x for a closed day.

Fridays need their own row. A branch that closes for Friday prayer can enter two sets of hours for that day, which Google supports. In the UAE, the federal government works until 12:00 on Fridays and Sharjah’s government takes Friday off, so set Friday hours per branch and per emirate, not once for the whole group.

If you are planning Ramadan hours across a dozen branches before February, talk to VOCTOS about a Ramadan hours rollout.

How do you manage reviews across 10, 20 or 50 branches?

Give every branch its own review link or QR code, ask every customer instead of selected ones, and reply from a shared playbook that never confirms a patient relationship. Google bans incentives, staff quotas and asking only happy customers, and a pattern of violations restricts the whole account, so one careless branch can suspend all of them.

Google’s fake engagement policy lists the practices to remove from branch routines: discounts or gifts for reviews, discouraging negative reviews, selectively soliciting positive ones, pressuring customers on the premises, asking for specific wording and setting staff targets for review counts. The policy overview states that when an account is restricted, every profile on it is suspended.

Replies need a healthcare rule of their own. Google tells businesses never to share a reviewer’s private information. For a clinic or lab, a reply that mentions a test, a visit date or a doctor confirms that the reviewer is a patient. Our position: reply to the substance, invite the person to contact the branch, and keep every clinical detail off the page.

Requests sent by SMS or WhatsApp add a consent question in Saudi Arabia. Our guide to Saudi PDPL rules for marketing messages covers opt-in, opt-out and record-keeping. A printed QR code at the reception desk avoids the messaging question entirely.

Local links in Saudi Arabia and the UAE: where they come from

Local links come from the organisations your branches already deal with: insurers that list your clinics in their provider networks, malls that list your restaurant in their directories, delivery apps, employers with corporate wellness deals, and local press. Google names links as part of prominence, alongside reviews, in its local ranking explanation.

Google’s local ranking help page says results depend mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and that prominence draws on “how many websites link to your business and how many reviews you have”. You cannot change distance, and relevance comes from the profile and the page, so links work on prominence.

The practical step is an audit per branch. Search each insurer, mall and platform your branch works with, and check that the listing names the right branch, phone and address, and links to that branch’s page instead of the homepage. Flag any listing that still points to a closed branch or a central number.

Avoid bought directory packages. Links from sites that list every business in the region without checking them add nothing customers would use, and Google’s prominence guidance rewards businesses people know, which a paid listing does not show.

What should you measure for each branch?

Measure four things per branch: Business Profile interactions, tagged website visits in GA4, calls, and the bookings or orders those produce. Read them together, because each source counts differently. Google’s Performance report counts unique viewers once a day and includes activity from ads, so it is not a pure organic number.

Metric

Where

Caveat

Views, calls, directions, website clicks

Business Profile Performance

Includes Google Ads activity; views count a person once per day

Search terms

Business Profile Performance

Updated monthly, up to 5 days late

Sessions and conversions from the profile

GA4, using UTM tags on the website link

Tag with medium “organic” to stay in Organic Search

Calls answered and booked

Branch phone system or call tracking

Personal data rules apply to recordings

The caveats come from Google’s Performance documentation. For the website link, a tag such as utm_source=google, utm_medium=organic, utm_campaign=gbp and utm_content set to the branch code keeps the visits in Organic Search, because GA4’s default channel rules assign that channel when the medium exactly matches “organic”.

Calls need the most caution. Google requires a phone number under the business’s direct control and prefers a local number over a central call centre line. Keep each branch’s own number as the primary number. Call recordings in a clinic can capture health details, which the Saudi PDPL treats as sensitive data, so set up notice and retention rules before switching recording on.

What VOCTOS’s Saudi healthcare work shows, and what it does not

Our published Saudi healthcare case studies report organic and AI-citation results, not local pack positions. Al Hokail Medical Group reached 27,500 monthly organic visits and 30 keywords at number 1 in Google Saudi Arabia. Delta Medical Labs reached more than 1 million monthly organic visits and 1,186 number-one keywords in Saudi Arabia.

For Al Hokail Medical Group, the case study also lists 3,400 ranked keywords and 128 pages cited by AI answer engines. The work included doctor profiles, specialty pages and medical structured data (MedicalOrganization, Physician and FAQ) describing the group’s clinics and clinicians, which is the same foundation branch pages sit on.

For Delta Medical Labs, engaged since March 2026, the case study reports 159,200 organic keywords and 5,570 pages cited by AI engines, including 3,600 in AI Overviews and 1,800 in AI Mode in the July 2026 breakdown.

Neither case study publishes Business Profile or local pack figures, and we do not quote any here. What the two programmes show is narrower: in Saudi healthcare, the clinic and doctor pages that earn organic and AI visibility are the same pages a branch profile links to, so building them once serves both.

Our read

Fund the branch page before the profile. The profile is rented space with strict rules and a single website link; the branch page is owned space that feeds the profile, organic search and AI answers at once. Build the page first, then tighten the profile around it.

Our second position concerns hours. In Saudi Arabia and the UAE, hours change every year with Ramadan, and Google shows no warning for that month. A branch that shows normal daytime hours during Ramadan sends customers to a closed door, and the review that follows outlasts the month. Treat the Ramadan update as a fixed annual task with a named owner, a spreadsheet and a reversal date.

Last, keep reporting at branch level. A group-level total hides the branch with a broken phone number or a suspended profile. One row per branch, four metrics per row, is enough to spot the problem in the first week instead of the first quarter.

FAQ

Do we need a separate Google profile for every branch?

Yes, one per physical location that serves customers, and never more than one for the same location. All profiles in a country use the same brand name and primary category. Groups with 10 or more locations can verify them together through bulk verification in Business Profile Manager, if the account lists every location it manages.

Should our branch pages be in Arabic or English?

Both, as separate pages linked with hreflang, each listing itself and its alternate. Keep facts identical across the two versions: address, hours, phone and doctors. Point the Business Profile website link at the version matching the language most of that branch’s customers search in, and link the two versions to each other visibly.

How do we show Ramadan hours on Google without breaking anything?

Change regular hours to Ramadan hours on the first day, add special hours for each Eid day, then restore normal hours afterwards. Google’s guidelines allow seasonal hours as regular hours. On your website, add a second hours set with validFrom and validThrough dates so the page and the profile agree.

Our Google reviews are uneven across branches. Can we ask staff to collect more?

You can ask staff to invite every customer, but not to hit review targets. Google’s policy bans quotas, incentives, selective requests to happy customers and asking for specific wording. Give each branch its own review link or QR code at reception, and track review volume per branch as a service signal, not a staff KPI.

Is call tracking allowed on Google Business Profile?

Google requires a number under the business’s direct control and prefers a local number for the location. Keep each branch’s own number as primary and measure profile calls with Google’s call metric. If you record calls, especially at clinics, apply Saudi PDPL notice and retention rules first, because recordings can contain health data.

How many branches rank matters less than whether each branch can be found, trusted and measured on its own.
